Yeah...I've enjoyed both fiction and non-fiction work by Bourdain before, but I just didn't care for this. I like graphic novels, I like food - especially sushi...but I just didn't care for this book. It felt a bit disjointed at times, as though large sections of storyline were missing. Jiro seemed to change his mind on a whim at times, and other than the fact that he was a soup-nazi style sushi chef, his character wasn't ever really fleshed out. Secret pasts were hinted at, but we were never really given a glimpse into his thoughts. Originally I was going to 1 start it, but Langdon Foss' art work was perfectly fine, so I'll give a second star for that.
