Room: A Novel

Room - Emma Donoghue I hesitated to pick this book up for a bit after my friend loaned it to me. I just wasn't sure how I would feel about the topic and reading something written from a child's perspective. However, once I picked it up, I didn't want to put it down! It took awhile to get used to the writing style and to figure out what "Jack" was trying to say at times, but once I did it was easy to read. It really speaks of the bond between mother and child through the way that "Ma" is able to keep on going day to day because she wants to provide as much of a life as she can for Jack inside of the room.
